Andrea Clow

Licensed Acupuncturistc

Andrea Clow grew up in Oregon. Her lifelong discovery of alternative medicine stemmed from more than two decades of ongoing education, with 13 years in alternative health care. She received a Master's degree in Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (OCOM), one of the oldest and most comprehensive programs in the country. Andrea is licensed by the California Board of Acupuncture as an acupuncturist and herbalist.

"Acupuncture and Oriental medicine continuously amaze me as these modalities provide my patients with incredible success. I have seen patients obtain full relief from ailments, with many reporting better sleep, improved digestion, better circulation and an overall feeling of peace."

Already with a background in massage therapy, Andrea was introduced to Chinese medicine. This form of health practice resonated with her. She knew she would be able to help patients and reduce pain by using Chinese medicine in combination with her massage therapy training. "Pain can lead patients to discover a deeper understanding of self, ultimately leading them to make healthy lifestyle changes."

During her studies at OCOM and through life experiences, Andrea developed a personal connection to treating womens' health and fertility issues. She considers herself to be a child of fertility methods as her parents struggled to conceive. Andrea focuses on the treatment of fertility and enhancing overall reproductive health. Her specialties include menstrual irregularities, ovulation disorders, male infertility such as low sperm count and low motility, preparation for IVF/IUI, unexplained infertility, recurrent miscarriages, and menopause. Andrea is currently preparing for certification as a practitioner of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Health.

"My passion for Chinese medicine comes from my desire to help relieve pain and suffering, which can come in many different forms, on many levels. I continuously educate myself to better treat patients and work toward understanding where patients are in life with love and compassion. I then empower then to make healthier, more informed decisions."

Andrea believes the mind, body, and spirit are interconnected in ways we can't always see or explain and that there is a time and place for all forms of medicine. She treats patients (and herself) naturally, giving the body guidance to heal itself. Combining acupuncture and herbal medicine with massage techniques, such as shiatsu and tuina, cupping, nutritional recommendations, and meditative practices such as Qi Gong, Andrea's goal is to assist her patients in harmonizing the connection of mind, body and spirit to restore the balance within.
