Allen Arnette

Doctor of Chiropractic, Licensed Acupuncturist

From the earliest stages in his college education, Dr. Allen Arnette pursued a course of study that would allow him to work in the healing arts. "My goal has always been to treat patients naturally and holistically." Through his education and training in bodywork and chiropractic, along with his study of Oriental medicine and acupuncture, he is proud to offer his patients the best of the healing arts from both the West and the East. During the course of his career, he has treated more than 100,000 patients.

In 1997, Dr. Arnette received his Master of Science degree in Oriental Medicine from Samra University of Oriental Medicine in Los Angeles, where he is a former member of the faculty. In 1991, he completed his doctorate in chiropractic from the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in Whittier, CA. In 1984, while Dr. Arnette was pursuing his Bachelor of Science degree in Texas with coursework comprised of pre-med studies, he earned his certification in massage therapy. Then in 1987, the US Department of the Navy offered him a complete scholarship for medical school, which he turned down in order to study chiropractic instead.

After just two treatments with Dr. Arnette, I'm on cloud nine! My chronic discomfort and sleepless nights are over. Your long hours, days and years of committed study combined with what is obviously a passionate desire to help, inform and cure have already given me great relief and a better quality of life." - Steve A.

In pursuit of expanding his expertise in acupuncture and herbal medicine, Dr. Arnette has frequently traveled to China. His studies there were conducted in clinical settings, in both hospitals and private medical offices. Coursework included: traumatology, orthopedics, internal medicine, gastroenterology, OB/Gyn, pediatrics, neurology and psychology.

Never one to rest on his laurels, in 2006, Dr. Arnette became a certified yoga instructor. He believes that the practice of yoga is like "active acupuncture." The individual practice of yoga balances the body's energy from the inside, out. He currently teaches at Yoga World Studio and Escape Above Spa/Yoga Lounge, both in Long Beach.

Acupuncture is a life-changing event. I have been fortunate to have Dr. Arnette as my healer and guide. It is amazing to find someone who truly cares and is able to calm one's anxiety, as well as provide counsel and compassion. Acupuncture is a pleasant, relaxing experience, which stimulates the body and it's nerve endings. My daughter has had monthly treatments from age 12 to 18 and she loves it, too." - Norena T.

Receiving enjoyment from feeding his body as well as his spirit, Dr. Arnette also loves to cook and to share his culinary expertise. He teaches a 21-day cleanse and detoxification program three times a year at Prep in Seal Beach.

"Since the opening of the Advanced Wellness Center, I have enjoyed synthesizing a blend of natural medicine -western and eastern."
